nu•trac | app + Landing Page
Nu•trac is an app I concepted and designed for a UI/UX class taken at DesignLabs. From the beginning of the course we learned how to define a problem using a variety of techniques providing valuable insight for the ideation phase. In this phase, brainstorming and a collection of ideas are developed into potential solutions to the problem. Once the best solution is determined, prototyping and testing begin to ensure a user friendly experience and interface. For this class, I decided to tackle a calorie/nutrition awareness and management solution for consumers, to conveniently assist them before, during or after purchasing food and beverages from popular chains. The result was a smart device app with up-to-date details of menu items at popular locations, allowing users to make informed choices and purchases and keep track of their calories, carbs, fats and protein counts. Featuring location tracking, nu•trac prompts a user to open and use the app when they are nearby a verified location. Other nu•trac app features include an easy edit meal plan, a menu items filter, calorie and nutrition limits, and data syncing to other popular health and nutrition apps such as MyFitnessPal and MyPlate. I also designed a landing page for users to read more information about nu•trac and its features and drive app store downloads.
